Emily’s senior session was Sunday and we had an amazing time together. The weather was perfect for everything except for the water shoot we had planned. But Emily & Jess were amazing a persevered through the 50° water and did the shoot regardless. It was definitely worth the shivers. You can see the whole water shoot on our Facebook.
Where- Historic down town Opelousas, Jess’s farm, and a very cold but beautiful pool.
Emily wore an off the shoulder crop top, jeans, and booties for the first location, Java Square. Jess loves shooting through the front windows so that the image has beautiful diffused light. The fishtail braid was the perfect touch of texture.
Emily’s second outfit was this gorgeous blue bell sleeved dress paired with basic lace up sandals. The best accessory was her friend’s husky puppy, Ricco.
Her third look was a gorgeous white dress with a side chignon bun. We used jewelry with soft blue stones to bring in some color and compliment her blonde hair.
The last outfit before venturing into the icy water was this pretty peachy dress from Forever 21. By adding a lace bralett, the neckline became more feminine, a touch more conservative, and this shot, when her dress sleeve fell, became a keeper. Dainty gold jewelry and loose curls completed the look.
A finally the water shoot! If you watch the Facebook live video, you know that we layered a kind of funky prom dress under a lace cold shoulder top to create a flowy, ethereal dress. Fabric volume is key in a water shoot since once submerged the dress clings to body and we wanted more of romantic vibe.
